Mopar, please give us a hint... where did you get them? what part of the country? mixed with any other tools or stuff? also, please a better photo of the box with the smaller pieces.

Off hand, can only think they are very special lathe attachments.  Fitted wooden case points to pre-WWII.

Cases bring to mind govt contracted specials.
Could be for anything.

Thanks everyone for the response. I bought a bunch of car parts from a guy in his 20's. All the car parts were his fathers and the guy had no use for them. He told me the tools I am asking about, were used to measure curb stones and installations. He told me some of the car parts where one thing when I knew they were not what he said, but I think it was just because he didn't know not to try to fool me. So I didn't think his interpretation of the tools was credible.  Here are a few more pics. Thanks again everyone.

I'm stumped. What does the other side of these thingys look like? Are all four of them identical?
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

On the back of those pieces, it says SANDERSON  (maybe with an "E" at the end but not sure) then EXTRA  then CAST STEEL

Just a guess , but I think they are for pattern making.
There was a Sanderson tools that made woodworking tools.

Sanderson Extra Cast Steel is the name of an alloy steel made by Sanderson Kayser Ltd. Thats about all I can tell you.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.
