Need Help Identifying

Marked "No. 5   Champion DeArment  Meadville, PA" - No patent information - Approx. 7" long - Small serrations on lower part of slightly cone-shaped jaws - Could not find any info. on them at the DeArment webpage

Any help in identifying is appreciated

Watching an old movie, this looks like the tool the barber lifts the hot towel out of the cooker with.   Before he wraps it around the victims face, for a close shave.  Anyway there was a lot of yelling as the towel was hot.

The shape of the jaws and serrations resemble a pair of battery post cleaning pliers I have.

The name Champion DeArment was first used in 1925, so this is made after 1925.  Company started as Champion Bolt & Clipper Company.  Of note, Champion DeArment patented the channel lock pliers we currently use.   

 Champion made a lot of farrier tools, so it could be a nose twitch or some other tool for farriers.

They changed the company name to Channellock in 1960, so it is before that date.  One of the few remaining US tool makers, probably because they are family owned.  Our family farm is near there, so I drive by the factories at least a couple of times a year.  Oddly enough, I have been driving by there many times since I was a young child, but have never stopped to take a tour.
