I guess they used these before someone invented the claw hammer. I can say, as basically a Carpenter by trade, that if I had to pull out every nail I bent with one of these,  it would be a long day, indeed. LOL

This one is relatively modern. I like it!
The old ones have a long iron handle that slides as a slide hammer.
When you get used to them they actually work pretty fast and that take out a much smaller bite of wood than a cat's paw. The sliders will bit you though! Champion blood blisters if you aren't careful.

I like it.

But it sure is an ODD thing for K-D to be making.
The only tools I have ever seen them make are Automotive specialty tools
....Unless it was for upholstry on wood frames...
The folded sheet metal design handles are consistant tho, KD loved using sheetmetal almost as much as bernard..

I like it too!  Never saw one like this -- my experience has been with the kind Scott talks about.
