Hello, I picked these up today, they appear to be a matched pair, mirror images of each other. Cast iron?, no visible markings. Regards, Lou

Plyerman

Really really heavy duty sled runners?
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

Hello, Plyerman. For a mini-sled? On the more serious side, I have seen these before, might even have 2 more among the masses. The former owner had a lot of machinist tools at the house. I will keep looking. Regards, Lou

They look like scarp iron to me. Perfect for the local scrap yard or a home foundry.

Northwoods

Part of a gadget for grooving soft cement?
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

Hello, kwoswalt99. Your increasingly negative comments are adding nothing to this forum. Respectfully, Lou

Catch22!

I am going in a different direction.  Looks like a part for an antique heater or stove.

I've looked at this a couple of times.  I can't help but think that they are som sort of runner. Like something to attach to the bottom of a big log to drag it through the woods.

The taper intrigues me, and is what gives me the idea.

I was thinking some type of edge guide or stop, but those would be more solid with a ground surface.
