Possibly for removing/installing windshield rubber lock strip?  It does look somehow familiar.

Hello, Thanks for the replies, but I am leaning more toward a saw handle??? Side handle for a crosscut saw? The threaded rod leads me to believe that this attaches to something. Thanks again, Lou

The cross-cut saw handles I've seen have a rod that ends in a J-hook, or else a split rod with a pin through it.

My vote is for saw handle.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

It is a front or top handle for a one man crosscut saw.  There are two main styles -- the one Bill mentioned (Disston) and this one, which I think were Simonds and/or Atkins.
