My grandfather's hand drill

I knew I should have checked back here sooner! Buried under before and after holiday stuff!
Brother-in-law was not able to get it loose either.
Looks like soaking is my next step. The additional tip about the block of wood will be handy since I dont have either of those types of hammers. Obviously I am not in a hurry! 
Thanks again everyone for your suggestions! I will update when I have results of soaking.
