Bottom of a box lot last weekend.  No name, but U.S. Pat. 4572038 and made in Taiwan.  It is closed and operates in this position in first picture and is 7 1/2 inches long.  In the second picture it is in the open position where you change the bits and is 10 1/4 inches long.  It has 6 bits, three Philips, and three slotted.  You change the bits by pulling the handle back to the open position and then rotating the barrel to the bit desired.  Then push the handle back to the closed position and you are ready to work.

If only Custer and the 7th had one of those.

That one has a high gizmocity factor.  Any idea what brand game it was sold under?
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

I've seen multiple variations of this idea, including one electric drill (!) that used the principle.  Pretty gizmotic.

It is interesting that the dumb thing works okay.
