Looking for info on this wrench. W.C. & Co, anyone know it? I'm assuming it's a striking wrench but usually you would strike the end of the handle right? It's a big wrench, opening measures 2-7/16". Any info appreciated.

Northwoods

More likely a hammer/wrench combo tool?
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

Wouldn't think a striking wrench would be a casting.
Usually a forging.

I don't think it's used for striking/hammering, maybe the flat part is so it can be stored thin side up.
