Help with New Britain part numbers
« on: March 31, 2018, 10:40:48 AM »
Anyone here able to tell me what the following New Britain part numbers are for (I suspect they are wrenches or maybe ratchets):

NMD-614

PB-15

956

952

I don't know what they are because I don't have the actual tool, I have the original tool stamping dies.

NMD-614= not positive but should be 1/4drive 6pt deep 7/16" socket

PB-15= this one I think is a rolling head pry bar

956= is a pin punch 3/16" if I remember correctly

952= is a prick punch

Nice stamp by the way. those are something you don't run across every day.

A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

Thanks for the help.

I think you are correct about the NMD-614.  The die also has the size 7/16 on it.  Though it took me a minute to wrap my head around that (pun intended).  I had assumed that a flat die meant a flat part, but I suppose if you rotated the socket across a flat die you would get the stamp wrapped around it.  For some reason I was thinking round part=round die.
