A couple more cool finds

The first one has some gears inside and reminds me of some type of jack part.  The second one is a box with 3 wooden rectangular shape handles that appear to hold razor blades.

Hello Rickg, what size is the square protrusion on the first unkown? Also, does it have a ratchet action to it?

I had a set like that one time that were fiberboard cutting and beveling tools.

Thanks guys!  The fiberboard cutter makes sense especially with the 45 degree pieces for beveling. 

The square piece on the first unknown is 1/2" x 1/2" and protrudes about 5/8".  It doesn't have a ratcheting action exactly...the gears that are connected to the square piece spin freely in each direction.  There is a small lever that when lifted will engage the gear and stop it.
 When pushed down it will disengage the gears and allow them to move.  Similar to a boat winch but there are no springs holding anything anywhere so it uses manual pressure.  The cylindrical piece pivots and has 2 threaded holes.  Both are just above the hole that connects it to the other piece.  1 hole is parallel to the connecting hole which can be seen in the photos.  The other hole actually goes all the way through the cylinder wall.  Looks like it may have engaged a pole or rod that slides into the cylinder piece and holds or secures it to the pole or rod.  It is pretty ornate so I would expect it to be visible.
