Punch?
« on: May 19, 2018, 07:25:38 AM »
Hello, I got this yesterday, not sure if all of the pieces are there. There is a stamp in the casting, which I can't read clearly, nor do I recognize the logo. There are also raised numerals on the casting, bit I can't get a good idea of those, either. Does anyone recognize the tool, or, the logo? Thanks, Lou   I have added a photo of the logo.

Certainly not for the center hole, except for really small diameter saw blades; and, if it was design to punch the gullets, I'd expect a fence to set the punch precisely.

I'm guessing it is a chain riveter tool similar to this one.

Hello, I would like to thank Collectors Weekly for identifying this tool. The logo is O M C O, I believe now owned by Inner-tite. Here is a link. Thanks for all of the replies, Lou

Hello, Oldgoaly. I think that the one I have is specific to the Utilities market, used for punching a 7/16 hole in a meter socket. Thanks for the photos of the Goodell Pratt punches, I have never seen one of those before. Regards, Lou
