Nut driver/screwdriver
« on: October 23, 2018, 04:14:02 PM »
Any idea who made this nutdriver/screwdriver.  No name, number 216B on it.  Must pull ends out to engage.  Center section looks like bakalight, and is riveted through the shaft.  Sizes are 5/16 and 3/8 and inside are slotted screwdrivers.

Hello, Coolford. I am going to guess at a Bell System, or telecom tool. Regards, Lou

Yes, that is a Bell System tool, but I cannot remember the name or number.  A lot of those Bell System small tools have a number like, 457B, on them.

Yup, Bell System tool. Nut driver / screwdriver. I found one back in the mid 1960's lying on the sidewalk under a power pole. It was ripped off from me when they broke into my office at the wrecking yard back in the mid 1970's along with a Kennedy carry tool box and other tools. Pull out on the socket and twist to expose the screwdriver. I have seen a lot of tools marked BELL SYSTEM over the years. My wife worked for Ma Bell for 8 years.
