Always look for American tools. Found this 6½" HARROLD slip-joint pliers in a charity shop. Paid € 1.50.
It still looked pretty new. Do not know the brand. Does the maker still exist ?

Henri- Some answers are in this thread from 2014, although a lot of the photos don't show.

I have a pair of Harrold pliers. The gull wing shape of the handles is reminiscent of common Vlchek pliers. Mine look like they've been around for a while. I would consider them fairly rare.

I've got two pairs of their pliers, and 4 of their screwdrivers. The pliers seem almost stamped quality, but the drivers are pretty good.

See pg. 18, Sept. 2015 MVWC Newsletter for some HARROLD history.   Some of their production was contract for WOOLWORTH's if that gives you any thoughts about the level of quality.

Many thanks for the information about HARROLDS.
I know this kind of pliers actually only from cartoolkits.
Should mine come out of there ?

Henri.
