Earlier in the week I got an email about this online auction posted on Hi-Bid.com.   The descriptions were reasonably accurate and it had good photos.  There seemed to be some listing errors but it was still better than another local who lists on Hi-Bid.  I placed one bid, but did not follow through on a benchtop milling machine by Duro.  It sold for $31.  I just could not bear to take on another project at this time.

Here's what I did purchase -

Only bidder ($5 starting bid) on a set of Powr-Kraft wrenches.  I was surprised when I picked them up - a complete set of 9 wrenches from 3/8 thru 1-1/8" !!!  Also a Disston-Porter saw and 3 new Nicholson blades, and an unopened box of 20 Irwin #2 phillips bits.  The little tool post wrench was picked up at a second hand store on the way home for 50 cents. Marked South Bend Lathe Works No. 523.
Second bidder on this lot - so $6-

Channellock 410, vice grips, CeeTee pliers, VW tool kit pliers?, Kraueter linesman and side cutters - good condition, 4 needlenose worn except the last little pair of Cam-Ron in unused condition, junky KR Tool adjustable,  Scholler 6" adjustable, Barcalo-Buffalo 10", and 10" "Toyota Motor" apparently made by HIT as it is forged HIT1.  AnD  a nice surprise again that the 3 DOE wrenches are "Toyota Motor" in shiny perfect condition.  They are marked on reverse "NICKEL CHROME VANADIUM JAPAN 72"  - maybe 1972?.
All in all some nice keepers and enough to resell to pay for them.  Pretty happy.

I probably would have bid on that machine as well. It's pretty cool.

That milling machine is so nifty - $31 is criminally low.

Heck, I don't have room for it, and I'd have paid $32, no questions.

Plyerman

Heck yeah I would have found room for that.....somewhere....
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

I would have made room for that machine - but have no time to work on it. There's a long, long list of things to be done this spring and summer.
Well, here is the auction site that hosted this auction:
