Hello, Guys. We are thinking along the same lines.  I was told it is a Jack Stand for a Model A or a Model T (when cars weren't so heavy) . Or a buggy? I will dig around in some old catalogs for car jacks, I was only looking for jack stands before. Thanks, Lou

Northwoods

I agree. it's a jack stand.
But I would want to reinforce it with two tree stumps, just to make sure.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

years back alot of people didn't drive thier cars in the winter.  it was believed that the tires would last longer on model t's with it on jack stands.
