cornwell socket with spring loaded pin,for what?

1/4" drive,might be buggered up or smaller?....its 5/16",6 point..mso210 also marked R.E. 24066

It’s probably a magnetic bolt or sheet metal screw holding impact socket for production work. I have several in various brands.
