Sheet Metal Shears

 I have a set of metal shears approx 23" long the only markings on the set is a 'Thistle' type logo stamped on the outside of each cutting jaw. I believe that they are of North American origin (only an unverified statement from previous owner). Looking to identify the mark and origins of same. Cheers

The curved handle tips remind me of Gilbow from England.pi from Grace's webpages.
