Here's a nice cool old Skil sander

Previous owner repurposed a Craftsman tool box and did a nice stenciling job.
It fooled me at first...

Works well

By the way, Happy Independence Day!

Very nice.  There should be a black plastic knob on the front by which to grip the front; but, even without that, it's a fine looking tool.

Christian Becksvoort (https://www.chbecksvoort.com/), a major furnituremaker focused on Shakerish furniture, uses or used to use, one of these as his standard belt sander.

Ah.  Missed it.  I'd sworn that Skil put the knob on the very front of the sander in that design, so I didn't look closely enough.

The knob is very hard to see in my pics
You had me worried for a minute...
