This was given to me by a local collector. I did some carpentry work for him that was supposed to be no charge, but he called me back to the house. This was very generously gifted to me,  by him!

Very nice, they always intrigued me but I have most of my wall space covered with wrench cabinets, best not for me to go down that rabbit hole. is it marked with a maker name? I've heard that a lot of the star wheels are made by the same maker.

Thanks for noticing. It is stamped V. Fabian Milo ME. I believe that is Valentin Fabian.  "The Fabian family was involved in the production of rules for over 60 years. Fabian rules marked with locations of Bangor, Derby, and Milo exist in collections" . Quote is from the book "From Logs To Lumber" . I am also trying to move some things around to find some wall space!!
