We have a new contender for the top spot in my early automotive tool collection! This tool reads, "E.M.F-CO, DETRIOT, A-1308-01".

Everitt - Metzger - Flanders Company produced automobiles from 1909 to 1912, at one point being second only to Ford in production. EMF was bought out by Studebaker, and the EMF model 30 was rebadged the Studebaker model 30 in 1912. These rebadged models continued through the end of 1912 when the EMF name was dropped. Interesting automotive history of this short lived car company and the men who founded it.

And I don't think I overpaid for it.

I read where at the initials  stood for the acronym:  Every Morning Fixit,  probably not uncommon with the level of development in 1912.    Nice wrench, wonder how many owners it has had in the past 100 years?
