I thought some of you would enjoy seeing the walking stick a friend gave me after my operation.

NICE!

Blade looks a bit dull, but you could use it as a friction firestarter on chair legs while riding a rocking chair or glider.

Carrying a cane draws respect, falling down and hurting yourself in your tender condition, not a good thing. Til you get back in marathon shape, may as well use it, I would.

after some of my surgeries my body is so beat up and bruised from them moving me around i have to use a cane.. i have a old one i fashioned out of a branch that fell from a tree and also one that has a 8inch blade in the handle.

I've collected them down through the years but up to now they were like the piece of rock candy that Chief Dan George has in The Outlaw Josie Wales". He looks through it and says "this is not for eating, it's for looking through." Looks like it's now time stop just looking and time to use them.
