Howdy folks, this hefty brass fire hydrant wrench just showed up and I believe it says L.A. ST. MTCE, (Los Angeles Street Maintenance ?). She's a big girl at 14 inches long and about 3-1/2 pounds. Is there a site or someone on this list with the knowledge to point me in the right direction to figure out it's maker and age?
Rogue River, OR.

Around here, there was a company called "Elkhart Brass".  A foundry that produced hose nozzels, hydrant wrenches, & a lot of fire fighting equipment.  Oddly enough, I found 1 of their wrenches when I lived in Florida.  I'll have to see if I can find it to see how it compares to yours.  No matter what, they're neat tools to hang on your wall.  Seems like there should be a firefighter site somewhere.  Everybody collects something.
