Is this Bonney a whole tool or part of a tool ?

Before I go nuts trying to break it free, figure I should probably find out what the H## it is.

Google says B56808 is listed in a 1967 Bonney Tool Catalog as a Ball Joint Remover, for Chrysler Ball Joint Assemblies.

How big around is a vintage ball joint?

you would screw that over the thread then hit with hammer to drive it out of socket. You might use the 50/50 mix of atf?acetone for a week or two  that should  loosen the nut up.
