I spoke with the place here that takes S-K tools for me.After Ideal purchased them they stated they would honor exchanges.
well its been over a year and my 2 3/8 ratchets are not replaced/repaired.I used to like their tools, however they seem to join the list of tool makers that dont give a crap about people.Where have the good tool makers gone??

The way I understand it is that they are just getting their feet under them after some pretty big changes. I would even doubt that the same people are in charge now that were in those positions a year ago. Did you send the ratchets somewhere and just never heard back? Can you fill in the story a bit more? I'm hearing good things from some.

I sent them to a local s-k dealer who in turn sent to his s-k distributor. He told me The distributor is not getting tools back from them for some time now.I did get my 1/2 drive long ratchet back.It had some bad teeth and they sent a new one.So that was good.Hopefully luck will change. Also maybe I should send Ideal and e-mail? Thanks :)

I would sure try to establish contact with them. It could be that your whole deal got lost in the shuffle. Let them know you've been patient and would like to know if there is any possibility the situation can be resolved. They need good word of mouth now more than ever.

Two SK rats landed on my doorstep less than 2 weeks ago. Sent in for chipped chrome. Granted they said it would take 3 weeks, and they made good on that promise. I do have shiny ones in my hand though. The local distributor was useless in giving a hoot, and I made sure to let SK know that.

It 2 years for me to get a few ratchet kits from them during their transition.I called them back in late March to get another kit and was told it would be sent out.It took over 3 weeks, but I finally got it.I know of 2 store in my area that are dropping S-K because of poor customer relations and lack of dealer support.I still like their tools but not their warranty policy. It will cost $5.00 per item if you mail in your broken tool.
