Site seems to be quite slow to open a new page or thread

I sign on at home and work, on different computers and it seems as if something changed in the last month or so ?

There have been some days that everything on the site is slow, including time-outs for some members.
The site was slow all day for me, but now (730 PM) it is moving like it should.
I have to believe it is a server issue, and not much I can do about it.
