I bought this reprint brochure on Ebay. Saw some Coes information that I wasn't aware of  and thought some of you might like to have a look.

That is both very cool and a bit depressing. They did 16 inspections on every tool and published their test results etc. In a word, "Pride". We've come a long way, but it ain't all good. Today's companies don't employ the 'fact based bragging' marketing technique any more. I wonder why that is? They do still brag I guess, but the Coes advertisement has a believable, no-nonsense appeal to it. I didn't see the words 'shiny' or 'chrome' in there anywhere. I could have missed it.
Nice acquisition.

It is what it is.

Very nice John.

Can I trouble you to post a similar shot of the cover & back cover & I'll compile a PDF & provide a link...

Thanks!

Coes tools exist within their own universe.  Herb Page's documentation* of their history is a first rate testimony to what the brothers Coes accomplished.

Herb is still probably the most knowledgable Coes person around. He sold his entire non-Coes collection over a year ago and sometime later he sold his whole Coes collection. Rumor has it he is starting to pick some stuff up again. Great guy that will share his knowledge just for the asking. He does nice restoration work too.

Hey LG,
All I get is a 'file not found' error message. See if it opens ok for you.
