Heavy duty ball end wrench

This is a very heavy duty wrench, but for what purpose? Very heavy made with ball on end with 1/2" hex opening, through ball. Open end is 11/16". Has B 301107 mark and a Malteze cross with I in center. Measures 11" long and weighs 2 3/4 pounds. Good to carry under the car seat for protection!

I wonder if this was one of those wrench designs meant to be struck with a hammer?  Although the hex through hole in the ball end argues against that.

One was listed in the Vernon Nail auction, tho it is slightly different. (Same B301107 number)
Sadly it is listed under Oddballs/Orphans, so no helpfull ID...

The hole in the ball is rotated 90 from yours...

PPS: Supposedly the number is listed in Rathbone, where's Bus hiding? LOL

The number is listed in Rathbone as a Milwaukee. However there is no picture of anything like it and no picture of a different wrench with that number. Milwaukee made mowers reapers rakes binders.
