On the trip to Lynn Dowd's sale, I spent the night at Mrchuck's home in Gun Barrell City, and in conversation, I said I was ready to buy a belt sander, and might have to visit Harbor Freight.
Chuck pointed out a Craftsman 1/3HP sander he had bought some time ago at a garage sale, and was not using. It followed me home, along with two new belts!
I set it up one night at work, and it runs fine, except for slowing down after a little bit. I will check the bearings, etc. before I put it in service.

Looks pretty good. Reminds me of the one my grandfather use to have. Looks exactly like it.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I'd like to find one of those myself, at the right price.   Used one at my old job, and found it very useful.

I'm gled you will put it to use.
Every time I walked into my "old shop", it always asked,,"i'm" ready, please use me".
Got to feeling guilty. Glad you are happy.
