One stop at an estate sale here in town and man, did they have the tools.  In addition to what I have pictured, they had an old Searjeant(?) jigsaw(small one), but I didn't want to spend $7 on it(wife only gave me $50 to spend and you'll see why in a minute) and a really old Husky hex drive set they wanted $10 for and it looked fairly complete and the original old black lacquer box with the logo was really cool.  Not pictured(I think) is a really old Chicago Pneumatic electric drill with a bout a 18' cord on it and it works. There also was a Falls City claw hammer and a Briar Edge Service Tools small claw hammer.  I grabbed them since I'd never heard of them.  The BE Series C-man socket set and the Indestro socket set were the big grabs.  I was actually working out package deals with the older guy out in the garage, and the cashier was cool with it...until the old bat that was running the show came out side and put a stop to it.  I didn't have anyone available to go back on Saturday for the 1/2 price markdowns.

I'll go left to right in 3 waves starting at the bottom:
BOTTOM-Winchester 1528 S wrench(from last week, just thought ai'd throw it in the photo)
Morse #645 Reverse and Brake Pedal Ratchet
Sawed off S wrench with "Iowa" forged in it
Champion Dearment Channelock #420 slip joint pliers
small thin stamped wrench
KNU LOK Pliers TYRE #440
Ideal Commutator Dressing Co. Quick Strip wire tool(not real functional)
Pexto/Bell System cable loop crimper
VW two way screwdriverz9likely not all that old)
IH chisel(much better than my other one)
Walden Wooster 1/4" refridgeration rat tool.
Screwdrivers-Corsair, American Crew2A, Plomb 9752/9784,Mechanics Tool and Forge Sabina OH(early MAC??)
Weird pointy tool
Stray advertising screwdriver that has the plastic handle fold out into a T for more torque and even a light tapping hammer(circa 1981)
Excelite Metric nut driver and a scewdriver shankto boot
"Mechanics Tool and Forge Co" roll of chisels(all of them have MAC stamped on the side, but no part numbers).  The roll is really old and someone's chewed up the barrels with pliers or vise grips.
MIDDLE-1/2" Indestro rat set missing only the 5/8" Socket(bet I have one in my 100# Indestro box) and some misc Indestro bits.
"Weed" Pliers of some sort.  With a 1911 or 2 patent and a 1915 manufacturing date)  They even stamped the price in at 60 cents !!
10R US Vise Grip in great shape(will replace the Chinese on in my tool chest)
Dallas Brass And Copper Co. Tool(any clues on this one folks??) "IXL Chain Plier is all I can read off the handle.
Old DOE,wrench,
EC Stearing Concrete tools(heavy)
Tiger DBE
TOP(saved the best for last Misc pile of loose sockets from the Indestro/C-man boxes consisting of Snap On/ SK/Plomb bits
Very nice set of Craftsman BE series extensions, sockets, 3/8" speeder and the blackish box is in good condition too.  3 Vanadium DOE's and a Vanadium Waterpump pliers too.  Along with is came a V series 3/8" Rat 43785 with an oil hole, V series flexover, a few Thorsen goodies for Oily, and an old Wards Riverside Battery Charger.

Also not pictured is an old metal Craftsman tool box with tray with only minimal surface rust in the bottom. Has the logo prior to the crown logo.

My next reply will have the Saturday stuff in it.

You really get some good stuff and I appreciate the time it takes to make the pictures and post them here
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

Always fun to check out what you got!  I like the old C'man set and as 1930 says, we appreciate the time and effort spent on the photos.

Decided to throw in the two hammers and the CP drill for the curious;from a previous sale.  Someone wants $25 on ebay just for the Falls City head and no handle.  I wish him luck...

Clockwise from the bottom left:
#55 pliers
Old beat up brass hammer(don't have one, so it was a"find")
Wright 1/2" drive S-146 handle and socket(assuming it's 1/2")
Bay State #3 die holder
Greefield tap
No name chisel
Wizard Grass Clippers(for Oily's Pappy)
Goldblatt Chisel  KC MO.
3 WF Craftsman screwdrivers/torx
Bonney 2566 Brake shoe adjuster
Stanley shears (US made)
SEARS Replacement Part Case(no clue what sort of parts it carried)  The unit is fiberboard, so it didn't carry a bunch of weight.
Ridgid angled pipe wrench and a Bridgeport#19 coping saw(hiding on the long cord)
CP drill
Briar Edge Service Tools Hammer
Falls City Hammer(handle is likely not the original as the auction had a whole flat of new handles identical to that one)
and a pretty rusty pair of Channelock 420's.

Also in the last photo is a nice Keen Kutter alligator with 20 on the backside of it.  Teeth are in great shape.

Maybe a service man's carry case getting the "plug" as he repairs?

Bob:  My shop has looked like like a bomb  went off in it for over a year now.  I plan on selling a bunch of this stuff at the Antique Acres Tractor show in mid-August up north of town a bit.  They had a bunch of old rusty junk( and vendors to match lol!!) with way high prices, so I will crash their party and see what happens, assuming there's vendor space available and the rent is cheap.  Dusty area for sure, but the next WLGS isn't til October, so some space in the shop would be a win for sure.

Wife and daughter are out of town this week, so I'll have to be on my best "shopping" behavior.....

That Sears Replacement Parts Case looks like the type of case that was used for carrying Electron Vacuum Tubes for television and radio repair. I have seen that style with markings for Zenith and RCA. You could carry a good 150-175 tubes in that case easily.

Without posting a closeup of the compartments, they have many divider grooves and some minimal open cell foam padding, so you could well be right.

Thanks
