I just saw the last post asking about the ratchet being SK .
I have this set that has no markings  other than "Made in USA" on the ratchet , and the sizes marked on the chrome sockets. There are 9 matching sockets that fill the rack , and three similar , but not matching that came with it.
The sockets look like old SK with the ribs, but the ratchet looks BE?
I believe it was an original set , because the sizes and colors and texture of the parts match.
No sign of a decal being on the box.
The guy I bought it from said it's been in his tool box "forever" while he tried to figure out who made it.Nice ratchet that works fine.
Any Ideas?
I want to sell it eventually , but I would like to know who made It
Thanks roy

The ratchet is a Plomb WF-series...

sockets and breaker bar look like duro, are they marked D I ?

The ratchet does compare to a plomb wf.-Has the same Made in USA mark.
No marking on the sockets ,other than size and the serrations.
Thanks

The ratchet is a unmarked Plomb. I have seen others and have owned several. I have seen them in all common drive sizes. I have no idea why they are nameless.

Thanks evildr235 , I agree with all who say the ratchet is a plomb wf.
Does it belong to the rest of the set? , are the sockets plomb?
The chrome doesn't show up well in the photos , but it would add to the cost of production.
I'm thinking a set made for Montgomery Wards or western Auto or something on that line.
Most likely had a decal on the box at one time.
thanks

Is the ratchet chrome plated. You don't see too many of that style of Plomb ratchets that are chrome plated. I have two Plomb WF38s that are chrome plated. WF series tools were military contract tools and most had a chemical finish rather than chrome. One thing I have learned about Plomb ratchets is nothing is set in stone. Just when you think you know everthing about them a new version shows up.

No , the ratchet is not chrome plated , just the sockets. The breaker bar and extension have the same finish as the ratchet. I'd call it industrial.
I know my photos aren't very good , I'll work on it.
Thanks

It's very likely cadmium, so don't wire wheel them!
