I made my weekly jaunt and came up with some new things:

1. Two 8-inch adjustables wrenches; one, from Japan, is embossed "LOBSTER" and has a Far Eastern image of a lobster, and the letters UK, also embossed on it; the other is a Kilborn & Bishop adjustable, marked (somewhat unnecessarily) 22 1/2 degrees

2. Two pairs of pliers; one is stamped "FARMERS UNION - UTILITY-"; the other, still partially nickel plated, is stamped "BERGMAN BUFFALO U.S.A. NO. 60".  I didn't know Bergman made pliers. These 7-inch pliers have a distinct wire cutting feature.

In the 70s I bought a set of Lobster brand adjustable wrenches, from what is now Harbor Freight.   Have them all but the 12, it grew feet.   All work fine, don't show much wear, have even hammered on the 15 inch, is still tight, and none have any chrome peeling.   For what I paid, am amazed they have held up this well.

BERGMAN pliers with that style of cutter were described in MOTOR WORLD in 1914.  So the idea has been around for a while.  Have no idea how long they kept that style in their product line.
