Is there a site that will show all of the cresent tools that were made?
I can go on for hours just looking for one thing.

Heelspur,

Here is a link to a site that has the No. 24 Crescent catalog available for download in a pdf format.  Plus a lot of other catalogs.
Hope this helps.

Thats what I'm looking for.
I have a pair of cresent tin snips that have V-19 on them but still can't find it there.
Looks like the modern snips with the red, yellow, & green handles, but these are bare metal.
Guess I should've taken a pic, sorry.

Thanks Mike. I'll keep looking.

Heelspur,
Here is a list of the Crescent catalog resources that the Alloy Artifacts site listed.  I have no idea if this is all of them.  And also I have no idea where to find them.  Not much help I admit, but the best I can do at the moment.

mikeswrenches,

What would your guess be for the date of the 24c catalog?  Looking at the list of catalogs and dates from AA, I'm guessing maybe 1948-ish.

>date of the 24c catalog?

This has come up before.  Page 2 says the crescent wrench is 35 years old, but 1907+35 only gets us to 1942.

If they are counting from the first advertisment, instead of the company founding, then 1910+35 gets us to 1945, which is *still* too early, because it puts catalog 24a after 24c....

One wonders if someone lost track.....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

lauver,

I'm not much help on dating the catalog.  I'd have to go  with Rusty on this.
