I know there is alot of talk on here about Bonney and that is the only reason I consider this but then the deal was sealed when I noticed its condition. Whats the deal with this wrench, hate to ask but whats it worth and did I do any good on buying it for a dollar.

Anyone need it?
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

rusty

AN series, Bonney made those right up till the end, and they were just about the only source (Martin seems to have the patterns and makes them now). The aircraft and race guys love those things, they are tubing collar wrenches.

Current list is $18-$30 for those, so yes, it was worth a dollar ....

(You can still buy NOS bonney ones for most, but not all sizes btw)

(Wright also makes a wrench for the same purpose, but it's not as nicely shaped imho)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Well it sold for $1.10 in 1948, so I guess a buck in 2012 isn't so bad.

Tell her that 1-1/4 fits the wheel bearing nut on her car so now she can do that nasty bearing job herself...;P

Wright version. I don't know, Rusty. Pretty handsome.
