Those are beauties.
I have the 81389 set but it only has 7 sockets + the spark plug socket.

Sorry I can't help, Oily.  I bought the set early this summer at a garage sale.  I'd never seen a Hornet set before that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mike's set is complete. I have seen numerous sets (by various manufacturers) with precisely those contents...

I never heard of Hornet sets , but I did see an empty box like that this weekend.
I thought it was neat , but to new.Turns out olderthan I thought.

Don't have a 3/8" for comparison, but the 1/2" Hornet ratchet has one of the largest ratchet heads you'll find in 1/2" drive of any make.

Strong, but bulky.

It is something to see a  different brand anymore.   Have never ran across a Hornet anything, cept the flying kind.   Something else to keep my eyes open for.   Like the yellow and black scheme.   Those sets must have been packed away in a stasis box!

Does that Hudson Hornet have Twin H Power ? I had a 1952 Hudson Super Jet with Twin H Power about 32 years ago.

Yep, it's a 1954 Hornet with Twin H and a Hydro. One of the last ones Hudson made before the merger. I bought it in 1976 and drove it until 1984. I last stated it in July. Here's a picture from 1976

I am confused here. (What's new!)  I am familiar with Eddie's Hudson Hornet. Very cool wheels. What are Hudson Hornet Tools? Is that a toolkit that came with the car, or something else?
