Neutechnik Table Jig Saw?

Hi Forum,

Does anyone have experience with these?

It looks like a really neat tool, but I cannot find information on it other than their website. Knowing how that usually goes (they present only positive points), I am hesitant to buy it. I would like to find a source here in the states too.

Personally, as a pretty serious woodworker.  I would not spend the money on that thing.    My guess is that you will out grow it very quickly and not be satisfied with a "hobby crafter" type tool.    Save up for a real dedicated 14" Band saw or 18-24" Scroll saw that has a well known brand name.

You might well run into a voltage problem - European tools do not use the same voltage/cycles as American standards, and, unless the manufacturer is also building for the American market, you might not be able to get one that will work on our power systems.

I yhink you only get the table, you have to supply your own sabre saw to power it...

Looking a little more closely at the site, I agree with Rusty.  Jigsaw *table* is what's being
sold, not the saw.

I agree with Bill and Bruce, Power could be an issue and it looks a little flimsy to me. Unless you could source some long blades I think it would be very limited in depth of cut especially at an angle. Looks like something you might find at IKEA.

Hmmmmmmm let's see
 We have 3 pounds of plastic, versus 200 pound of cast iron.......for nearly the same price
 (if you are willing to search and then do a little tunep on your old tool).........
