An interesting find at the local flea this morning.

While wandering around the local flea this morning I ran across a vendor that has had some decent stuff off and on.  Today was a good day.  Laying on his table in plain sight was a Perfect Handle winged screwdriver in very good condition.  Not much rust and the scales were as tight as if they had just been put on.  First one I have run across in the wild.

Does anyone know the significance of the 3 forged on the tip?  I have also had them with a 5.

It is a size designation similar to #2 Phillips, but various makers used their own scale so they don't match maker to maker.

Does it have to do with the length or the tip width.  If I remember(which can be a little problematic) the ones I've seen with a 5 were longer, but I was thinking the tips were about the same.
