I know where one of these books is.
« on: December 16, 2012, 01:23:10 PM »
Saw one of these in an antique store yesterday in a booth that said 50% off everything.
There was no price on it but it was with a bunch of 1&2 dollar books, so my question is would it be worth picking up? or is this just another ebayer with hopped up prices?

Now there's someone with ambition and an inflated sense of what things are worth.

I sent him an offer for two dollars but after submitting the offer I noticed he offered free shipping, I hope I dont offend him by making him think I expect him to ship it too me as well for the two bucks :)

It's a factory manual, quite large and inclusive.

I expect that its worth $30ish to someone with that model.

and almost nothing to someone who doesn't own one.

Not a collectors item, just useful

OOPS, if it is the big factory manual ( thick ) than I agree it is worth some money. Cant tell from the pics

Gotta have a sense of humor to appreciate my blunder I guess :)

Heelspur, I guess I helped anyway in that its safe to assume the book is worth more than two bucks to someone else as well since I just received notice from seller that my offer was declined. At least he was cheerful about it!

I paid 100 dollars quite a few years ago for my Toyota Tercel shop manual, it 4 inches thick maybe and well worth it. I bought it new though I think

This was in the late 90s though I think before I decided to get a computer. I might be able to buy the same book now for less than half. No difference to me though at this point
