strange Wrench...any ideas?

Part of the tool blowout pile thread on GD.  Any ideas on what it was designed to do.  If there's markings on it, they're under the dirt.

The steel rod welded to a socket design is typical of chainsaw wrenches, but I can't see the other end very well, and it is odd, usually it's just a screwdriver tip....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Rusty, that wold be a really big chainsaw, as that hex socket must be 1 1/4" or better.  The other side has some sort of pry tip on it and a couple other features greek to me.  I don't have it here at my house so I can't comment much further.  thanks for trying.  It doesn't look homemade though.

seems like when I was young my dad had something close in appearance and size that he made/used to pack the font bearings on his mid 70's Ford 4x4.  I'll need to ask if he still has it for a photo

Any other photos with different angles & views?? is the socket a hex & slot type? size? tip of rod looks tapered? whats that block on rod, can it move? is that a lock screw? size???  Looks Homemade?
