This was in a recent tool box pick up, no idea who or what it is.
 Kinda reminds me of a brake spring tool, so maybe is used for a spring remover/installer...   old typewriter tool ish  ?????
The blunt end may have been ground down. No makers marks.

That has the same end as a KD brake tool I use.   Is for popping the long springs back on the post on drum brakes.  My tool has the remover on the other end, never saw one with a fancy painted handle before.

I was thinking Vacuum Grip myself, based on the pattern of circles on it. Just hadn't made it over to AA to compare!!
