I received this email this morning. My response is below.

Are You a Maker? Do You Have a Maker's Face? A Maker's Hands?
BE ONE OF THE NEXT FACES OF CRAFTSMAN
We're looking for real people, Craftsman Club members only, to represent Craftsman in our 2013 advertising. Do you build things? Make things? Use Craftsman tools? Send us 3 photos - a head shot, a full body shot, and a shot of your hand(s) - and a bit of information about yourself for a chance to be part of our Made to Make campaign. We'll narrow down the search and let you know the next steps.
Interested? Email your three photos to Craftsman@kcdbrands.com with "Maker Casting" as the subject line by February 20th. Please include name, age, place of residence, type of workshop you use most (such as garage, warehouse, or home), your passion points (woodworking, mechanics, home remodeling or more), and experience in your email.
And be sure to share this with others!

Dear KCD Brands,

I don't know who you are, but although I am a lifetime user and a collector of vintage Craftsman tools, I no longer purchase new ones. I have no interest in your photo gathering project. Offshore outsourcing has degraded the brand.  I occasionally buy Asian made tools, but nothing that has a cutting edge or is made of tool steel. There is no Chinese ANSI, ASQC, SAE or any of the other groups that maintain standards for manufacturing. They may improve in the next ten or twenty years, but for now, I hve no faith in offshore quality. Please take me off of your list.

Think they'd publish a picture of my a$$ which Sears & Crapsman can both kiss?

The Sears division of Kfart holds a very special place in my heart.
