Senior mechanic
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:23:37 PM »
At work today one of my customers brought his pickup in.    Did some little repairs for him.   Turns out he used to run a frame and alignment shop, I even had an Impala in his shop for work, years ago.   Said he had  taken his tool box home when he retired, Snapon top and something else on the bottom.   He was noticing some of my tools, and commented on some things he had bought in the 50s.  Also said he may have to sell it soon.  Has a full basement woodworking shop, mostly power tools.   Feels its time to start selling it of.  One of the last WWII veterans in the local VFW. He is 87.  Hope I'm in that good of condition in 25 years.

WWII veterans are dying off. We lost the last WWI vet last year. We all owe them a huge debt of gratitude.Especially ones that didn’t come home, I lost a Gramp and great uncle.
Without getting political, it is a shame they had to die for what this country has become.

I guess you never know we're your gonna find the next lead for tools.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
