I have a file or attachment that was e-mailed to me quite a while back in PDF form, the scans are a disaster but the book ( partial book 30 pages  ) is very rare, no-one knows where the original is and I doubt I will ever see an original in my lifetime.

I need to clean up these scans now and can do this with my paint program but I cannot figure out how to save the images individually non PDF, I need them to be a regular J-peg.

They are all grouped together as of now in one file if that makes sense.

Is this a big deal for anyone here if I were to forward the original e-mail, they fix it and send it back too me.

I have printed out all the images and can re-scan them and save them as J-peg but then I am dealing with an even crappier image than the image that was sent too me.

I am assuming that this is just a few clicks of a button for one of you computer whizzes but if this is too big of a deal than just let me know that it is quite complicated and I will look into other possibilities.

I do not want the book re-produced ( and sold )  Thanks

I'd be happy to take a crack at it for you. Maybe just one page to start with so we can see if it works? I'll send you a message with my email address in it.

There is a program called imageprinter than will take anything that you can print in an application and save it on the disk as a image file(s).  Essentially it looks like a printer to the application (like say, adobe reader) and just sends the output to a file instead of a real printer.

It is a little clumsy, but it's a fairly easy way to convert multi page PDF's into picture files...

Thanks, I know there is always something that can be bought to do things but this is just my hobby, for fun,  I have to spread the peanut butter pretty thin

I think Plyerman must still work during the daytime, have not heard back from him yet but I know he does have it worked out cause he sent me two pages as sample. Thanks though will keep you in mind if Plyerman ( God forbid ) has somehow ended up in the big tool box in the sky.

Heh heh no, I'm still around. Seems like no matter how long I work each day my wife can spend it faster than I can make it.

Sent you a couple of emails just now, I'll have more coming your way in a bit.

Do any of you guys know what any of the writing on the front of this book might say, the image at the top looks oriental, it might give me an idea of where the book was sent and where there was once an old D.B

Next handwriting looks Arabic but that is just a guess.

Some of the text appears to me to be mathematical equations, looks like maybe a carbon paper residual entry, I keep thinking that if I hold the page to a mirror I will see things more clearly but no luck.

Even if you can confirm what language the text is written but cannot read it than I will be able to find someone that can. I would like to know what it says. Thanks

What I can see clearly is in a Sanskrit based writing system -- I'm betting on India as the source.  There are several languages spoken and written in India, with Urdu and Punjabi using an Arabic based writing system, but the standard is Sanskrit.   Check out:

Could the number in the top line of handwriting be a serial number? I make it out to be 4141991. That would make sense considering the printed text says the part list is for serial number 3558101 and up.
