not an old tool but old wood.

So I had rescued this old white cedar out of my grandmother's house. It was unfortunately a victim of the second fire. it has been a labor of love rescuing this old growth white cedar wood that was paneling in my grandma's house. 
Here are the pictures.

This is what some of the wood looked like:



I cut off the ends that were "oval shaped":



Then I ripped the burnt sides off of the boards. The tongue and groove paneling had an exposure of 7.5 inches. After ripping some boards were only 4" wide:

Such a great grain in that wood. Nice saving of the all the wood.

where at least I know I'm free.
