MJD Tools is now showing videos.
In this one Alex Stewart, mountain craftsman from near Sneedville, Tennessee, demonstrates constructing a churn. Film includes discussion of the use of non-powered tools and skills handed down in Stewart's family in making wooden containers, such as buckets and barrels. This film is part of a series of films about mountains craftspersons made by Thomas Burton and Jack Schrader.

it's always a pleasure to listen to some of the old timers talk.

there is pride in their work.

that was a nice butter churn that he made, but, how many people out there knows
how and why it was used.

thanks MJD tools for taking the time to bring those stories to us.

and thanks Papaw for telling those that do not get the Tuesday & Thursdays newsletter.
