Hey all!
I was brought a lot of stuff from an old shop to sort through and I kept finding these. I have no idea what they are, but they all have their own numbers. Some seem to have teeth, others do not, or they are worn down? Some have the edges on the back clipped, others are square. There is no consistency about where the numbers are stamped on them, or the stamp size, or font... I think they are brass.

Look to be plane  blades and doubt that they are brass.

Why would they be stamped with the various numbers?
I'll take a closer look at what they are made of tomorrow when I have the chance.

I agree with jim on blades for a plane. If that's what they are there probably not brass as brass is not that hard.

Just realized I was using the wrong account. D'oh. I need to figure out how to delete that other one, not sure how I ended up with both.

They're definitely brass. I cleaned one up to show it better. Does that mean plane blades are out? Other ideas?

Your right, looks like brass. Hmm I have no idea what they are.

Would some sort of contact part be possible? I assume motor bits would be made of copper, but... ? ? ?
