Picked up a small vise as part of a package deal.
Cleaning it showed logo, so I stopped that and tried to figure out the brand.
Was perusing the clamp on vises on the bay, and found a complete version of mine.
I like those little vises!
Thought of posting this in the Wanted/Needed section,
but the chances of a base being found is pretty far out there.

That's a cutie-pie!
I have a similar small Dunlap vise I inherited from my father-in-law. Love it for the small jobs.

Never say Never !  I came across a base Sat, I wasn't holding my breath that it would fit. But a little work with a dremel and a wire brush on the hole in the bottom of the vise and there you have it !!

I need another shelf for the clamp on vise display !

it was almost 3 years, but it was worth the wait.

if that was me, after 3 years, I would wonder where I had stashed the vise.

good find.

I have been contemplating the idea of a verticle vise stand like the old stores used to
display the clamp-on vises.

Oooh, oooh!  Tell us more!  Pictures available?

I have one or two or 14 or 15 clamp on vises, and display ideas are always interesting.

Brian,

I've been clamping mine to a conveniently located stud in the shop, but this has become a problem for two reasons: I have too many for the space, and some of the vises won't accommodate a nominal 2x-anything.  I'm planning to put some 1x shelves in that stud bay.  Right now, they're in a milk crate.

This picture dates from a post somewhere a few months ago:

Since then, these have followed me home:

I paid more for the last one, the Goodell-Pratt, than I have for most of the vises in the top picture combined ($1 is a common price for these in yard sales); but, well, it was a Goodell-Pratt.

Nice group of vises !!  Pricing makes collecting these reasonable.

Let me clean up my display a bit and I will post a pic

I will keep looking for the picture of the verticle store vise display stand.
when/if I locate it, I will have my wife put it on here.

I've never run across those two that look like wood worker's vises.  I think I'll have to have one of those.  I do have a Goodell-Pratt as well as a few more that have cropped up over the years.

vise display stand update;  I still have not found the verticle stand picture that I would
like to make,  but here is another nice looking stand.

two differant ads show the same style stands;  Bonney & Victor

look at eb item#  151244467677

I will still keep looking, as the one I like went straight up and had small shelfs coming
outward on 4 sides and about 3 or 4 sections high.

Oh, that radial vise display is classy!  Takes up a bit more space than my shoplet would accommodate, but I can dream of a larger shop.

Branson: I sent you a private message.

As promised, here is my vise collection, a little messy but that happens...

Yadda

You might say I have a tool collecting problem....
