I spent several hours waiting for this box to sell because I desired the Mossberg sockets. Got the sockets, the extension, the ratchet, the knuckle and a Cat 2H2873 90 degree socket;plus a Goodell Pratt 90 degree screwdriver and a Klein lineman plier and a couple other pieces.
Turns out the box is more interesting than contents. It is clearly stamped pat 161560 but don't find anything under that no. Did find 3171566A assigned to Union Steel Chest Corp of Leroy N Y who were the maker of this box but this box has small box hinges rather than piano hinge referred to in patent. Do my weary eyes deceive me or doesn;t that stamping say 161560. Did try design patent also. Anybody familiar with this box or company?

Kind of reminds me of a tackle box my dad had back in the mid 1960s

My guess would be a tackle box also.
