Question about 6 point sockets…

Does any body know if Isuzu has there own proprietary stile of 6 point fascines? I went to a friends house today to trouble shoot a problem with her 02 Isuzu Rodeo and my six point metric sockets wouldn't fit the valve cover bolts...

From what I seem they aren't hex bolts, they are 6mm allen drive....
PS: if thats the 3.2L engine, you don't want to look in there anyhow, evil things live in there.
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Some one has changed the bolts on this one then.
