Any Ideas what this is?

Threaded brass bolt is broke off but think an easy out will do the trick.

Seams like I have seen something like this in the past but just can't place it. Hmmm

Well of course that's a quarter; don't be ridiculous! lol

My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

looks like a gate valve, the stem for the handle is broken off.

rise to open, drop to close.

I think you called it.
Appears tapered, shows imprint of having been seated, and the one view definitely appears to show a twisted off operating stem.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance!

in the 2nd picture, on the valve is 3  4

if you measure the center circle, it may be close to 3/4 inch pipe.

the side grooves would guide it straight down.

someone may have not been able to stop a leak and put a wrench to the stem.

just a guess.

For sure for sure, that's exactly what it is! lol. Just foiled me because of the numbers, but back in the day they did everything with pride and craftsmanship.

Thanks guys!!
