Top a the mornin to ya fellas and ladies, purchase a few items at an auction online and hidden amongst the goodies were these items, you can clearly see the words ultimate chuck written on the round containers but have no idea what type of machine they would fit or if they are obsolete now.

Secondly the threaded rods, anyone know what they are/used for? and do they go with the ultimate chucks? Roughly 3/4 inch in diameter and lengths vary, along with some have knobs on both ends. Hmmm. obviously I'm not a machinist and mostly wondering if these are used any more or should go to scrap bin.

Thanks for any input guys!!

They look valauable - not outdated looking.  Punch "ultimate chuck" into eBay - there are some hydraulic power chucks listed and a chuck piece similar to yours asking $100.
The rods look sorta unfinished but why then would they dip them in protectant?

My first thought was woodturning.  Not sure, though.

Thanks guys!

Will do some more research on the chucks but what is baffling is the rods, I will take some better pics and post hopefully someone will recognize. got real tired of scrolling through ebay about the rods with the keywords " threaded machine/machinists tools; there were thousands and didn't see anything resembling them. boring!! lol

Posability that they are used in the field on some machine, at this point only the Lord knows and he aint sayin. :-)

All the rods appear to have the same head and different length threaded sections, and they have fine thread.  I think they are probably draw rods for some type of lathe chuck system, given the other chuck parts with them.
